We are excited to announce that Miva Open University has begun accepting applications for its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.   Established in 2023 by the uLesson Group, Miva Open University is Nigeria’s first fully online university, licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC). Our mission is to remove barriers to university-level study, providing flexible, accessible, and personalised learning experiences.   This approach enables students to seamlessly balance their studies with other commitments. No application fees are required; candidates can apply with just their O’level results, and there is no need for JAMB UTME.

Admission Requirements

Miva’s admission process is straightforward:

• • Undergraduate Admission: Applicants must have at least five credits, including English and mathematics, in not more than two sittings of WAEC or NECO.

Notably, there is no need for JAMB’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for admission to undergraduate programmes at Miva Open University.

• Direct Entry: Applicants with HND, IJMB, or JUPEB certificates can gain admission into 200 level and complete a bachelor’s degree.

• • Inter-University Transfer: Students wishing to transfer from other accredited universities can do so, provided they meet the transfer requirements.

• • Postgraduate Admission: Applicants should have five O’level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, and a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of a second class (lower division) in any field. HND graduates require a postgraduate diploma to be eligible.

  Postgraduate candidates are expected to have a minimum of 1-2 years of post-bachelor’s relevant work experience (which varies by the particular degree).
